LXR-A Antibody

0.02 mg
EUR 206.18
Description: LXR-A Antibody: LXR-A belongs to the Liver X Receptor family that encodes highly homologous transcription factors. Like the highly homologous LXR-B, LXR-A forms heterodimers with the retinoic acid receptor RXRalpha, function as sensors for cellular oxysterols which when activated, increase the expression of genes that control sterol and fatty acid metabolism and homeostasis. Recent experiments have indicated that the LXRs can also modulate both innate and adaptive immune responses. Human and mouse tumors produce LXR ligands that inhibit CCR7 expression on maturing dendritic cells (DCs), thereby allowing tumor immunoescape. In mouse models, it was shown that ablating LXR-A signaling led to an immune-mediated strong inhibition of tumor growth, suggesting that manipulation of this pathway may be a viable anti-cancer approach.

Description: LXR-B Antibody: LXR-B belongs to the Liver X Receptor family that encodes highly homologous transcription factors. Like the highly homologous LXR-A, LXR-B forms heterodimers with the retinoic acid receptor RXRalpha, which function as sensors for cellular oxysterols which when activated, increase the expression of genes that control sterol and fatty acid metabolism and homeostasis. Recent experiments have indicated that the LXRs can also modulate both innate and adaptive immune responses. Other studies suggest that genetic variability at the LXR-B gene locus may be a risk factor for Alzheimer's disease. One hypothesis postulates that LXR may be upstream of ApoE and potentiates the risk associated effects of the epsilon3 allele.

NR1H3 Antibody (LXR alpha)

R30350 100 ug
EUR 356.15
Description: LXR (Liver X Receptor) alpha, also known as NR1H3, is a tissue-specific cofactor that permits RXRA to function as a potent 9cRA receptor with a distinct target gene specificity. It specifically interacts with RXRA in vivo to form a functional heterodimer in which RXRA is the ligand-binding subunit. Additionally, LXR activity is critical for physiologic lipid metabolism and transport.

LXR alpha Antibody (NR1H3)

R30351 100 ug
EUR 356.15
Description: Liver X receptor alpha, also called NR1H3, is a tissue-specific cofactor that permits RXRA to function as a potent 9cRA receptor with a distinct target gene specificity. It specifically interacts with RXRA in vivo to form a functional heterodimer in which RXRA is the ligand-binding subunit. Additionally, Liver X receptor activity is critical for physiologic lipid metabolism and transport. They are endogenous inhibitors of atherogenesis and are targets for therapeutic intervention in cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, they and their ligands are negative regulators of macrophage inflammatory gene expression. Liver X receptors act as a transcriptional switch that integrates hepatic glucose metabolism and fatty acid synthesis. The LXR-IDOL-LDLR axis defines a complementary pathway to sterol response element-binding proteins for sterol regulation of cholesterol uptake.
